As a Manufacturing Engineer at Oceaneering India Center, you will be responsible for overseeing Cable & Wire Manufacturing processes with a focus on ensuring high-quality, efficient, and safe production operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Reviewing and refining cable manufacturing process steps - Creating and reviewing foundational documents such as Process Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, I/O Lists, Cause & Effect Diagrams - Documenting plant layout and value stream at the plant level - Defining and monitoring critical manufacturing parameters - Leading Process Validation Activities and Process documentation - Conducting detailed analysis of existing processes to identify improvement opportunities - Implementing optimization strategies to improve efficiency, reduce cycle time, and enhance product quality - Providing technical support and resolving process-related issues to improve OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) - Participating in discussions with cross-functional teams for root cause analysis and corrective actions - Coordinating project deliveries and schedules with Automation & Control teams globally - Defining functional processes and working towards continuous improvement - Preparing reports and presentations on the status of the design and development process - Keeping abreast of industry trends and issues Qualifications required for this role include: - Post Graduation (Master degree) in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Engineering with minimum five years of relevant industry experience, OR - Graduation (Bachelor degree) in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering, or Production Engineering with minimum seven years of relevant industry experience Desired qualifications include: - Minimum 5 years of experience in Cable Manufacturing Process - Basic understanding of instrumentation and control systems for Cable Manufacturing Machines - Ability to read P&IDs, Electrical/Hydraulic Schematics - Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles - Strong background in mathematics and/or statistics is highly desirable To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate competencies in communication skills, teamwork, analytical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, organizing, planning, mentoring, and leadership abilities.
