Senior Process Engineer

Job Purpose:

The Purpose of job is basic and detailed design engineering for chemical projects, planning engineering activities and schedules, preparing documents.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Design new processes including generating PFDs and PID
• Calculate and review Mass balance and Energy Balance
• Design and calculate piping, pumps, orifices sizes
• Design and select columns internals, including packing, trays, distributors along with hydraulic calculation manually and using software
• Participate in selecting proper instrumentations
• Request for proposals and tender packages and review bids and offers.
• Perform and maintain work to local and international codes.
• Review Engineering firms and vendors deliverables and proposals
• Assist in the completion of design studies.
• Provide ideas to enhance process, debottleneck critical process
• Provide ideas to enhance raw material and energy utilization
• Provide ideas for Waste management and waste reduction,
• Utilize value elements in by-products, and reduce amount of un needed by-product
• Apply safety standards to design, participate and have role in PHA and HAZOP studies
• Participate in HSE studies including EIA, SIA and Green House Generation
• Serves as the functional leader for process development and manufacturing in alignment with expansion plans and companys goals.
• Writing standard operating procedures and compiling specifications
• Investigating new production techniques for efficiencies
• Manage process documentation and ensure compliance with company standards

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes
• Identifies, mitigates and implements process changes in the operation to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and promote continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to chemical processes, raw material utilization and efficiency.
• Analyzing existing systems and identifying areas of improvement through process modifications.
• Developing plans for existing process improvement or new process installation including equipment selection, process flow, time studies, and equipment layout.

Academic & Professional Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering

• Min 5 years of Experience in Process Development and design including Chlorine and Bromine or Similar industry .
