About the Company:

UrjanovaC is a clean energy and net-zero solutions company founded by IIT Bombay faculty members Prof. Vikram Vishal and Prof. Arnab Dutta. The company specializes in pioneering carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies to decarbonize hard-to-abate industries. UrjanovaC has developed a patented carbon management technology that captures and converts carbon dioxide into valuable end products.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Process Engineer will lead the CO?-based alternate end-use product design, development, and process scale-up. The person will be responsible for design, optimization, product performance assessment, and collaboration with stakeholders. The role involves working in close collaboration with product end users and other stakeholders, assessing techno-commercial aspects, and supporting future scale-up. A hands-on experience in pilot design and execution, process engineering, and the ability to effectively coordinate with internal and external teams, and documentation (proposals, reports, etc.) are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the project scope, product and technology performance assessment report, and other relevant documents as needed.
• Review and provide techno-commercial performance-related inputs for the project.
• Serve as the lead contact to identify and work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal design and timely delivery.
• Perform technical analysis, economic analysis, and evaluate the capital and operational costs of projects.
• Work closely with EPC players and equipment suppliers to develop an optimised design for the pilot and for the future scale-up.
• Provide necessary support in developing proposals, making client-ready presentations, and reports. Carry out other related tasks and projects as required to support the project.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Self-starter with at least 2 years of experience in technology and operations across the process industry. Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Relevant experience in CO? handling, gas processing, or process scale-up from lab to commercial stage is preferred.
• Must have prior knowledge in techno-commercial assessment and stakeholder onboarding and engagement.
• Working knowledge of process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, HYSYS is a plus.
• Team player with prior experience in client-facing environments are preferred.
