Senior Principal Technical Safety Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Principal Engineer – Technical Safety will lead technical safety engineering activities for offshore and onshore oil & gas EPC projects. The role requires extensive experience in loss prevention, safety studies, and compliance with Aramco standards (SAES, SAEP), while managing multidisciplinary teams and ensuring delivery within budget and schedule. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and review technical safety deliverables (safety layouts, cause & effect, datasheets, specifications, shutdown philosophies).
• Conduct and validate safety studies: HAZOP, QRA, F&G Mapping, HAC, Firewater demand, Blast/Dispersion Analysis.
• Ensure strict compliance with Saudi Aramco standards (SAES, SAEP) and international codes (API, NFPA, IEC, ISA, NACE).
• Interface with Aramco project management teams (SAPMT), clients, and statutory authorities for approvals.
• Guide, mentor, and supervise a team of safety engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Support FEED, detailed engineering, EPC execution, bids/proposals, and site commissioning.
• Manage subcontractors/vendors and review technical bid evaluations, purchase specifications, and vendor documents.
• Participate in safety workshops, FAT, inspections, site surveys, and provide operational/commissioning support.
• Must have offshore and Saudi Aramco Experience.
