Senior Plc Programmer

Role & responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior PLC Programmer to lead and manage automation projects involving PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of industrial automation systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to develop, test, and maintain control systems for various manufacturing and process environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Programming & Development:

Design, develop, and implement PLC programs using Delta, Schinder, or other platforms.

Develop and configure SCADA/HMI systems (e.g., Wonderware, WinCC, FactoryTalk).

Write structured and documented ladder logic, function block, and structured text code.

Testing & Commissioning:

Perform FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test).

Lead on-site commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.

Provide real-time support for automation issues during deployment.

Project Management:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) to define project requirements and specifications.

Manage timelines, documentation, and change control for automation systems.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations (e.g., IEC, ISO, OSHA).

Mentorship & Leadership:

Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians in PLC programming and automation best practices.

Conduct code reviews, ensure standardization and modular design practices.

Maintenance & Support:

Perform system diagnostics, debugging, and upgrades for existing automation systems.

Create and maintain system backups, version control, and technical documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or related field.

5+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation.

Proficiency in at least one major PLC platform (e.g., Delta & SchinderControlLogix).

Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet).

Strong understanding of control systems, sensors, actuators, and electrical schematics.

Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).
