Job Description

The IT Department ensures secure, efficient, and scalable systems that support the organisation's core operations. Role Objective

We are seeking a

Senior PHP Developer

to design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications using Laravel and Vue.js. The ideal candidate will lead development efforts, mentor junior developers, optimise application performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing web solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead development and enhancement of enterprise web applications using Laravel and Vue.js
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and backend teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
Optimise application performance, security, and user experience
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers
Integrate third-party APIs and services securely and efficiently
Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and agile ceremonies
Ensure compliance with security, quality, and regulatory standards
Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms (AWS / Microsoft Azure) and web servers

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of hands-on PHP development experience with Laravel Framework
Proficiency in Vue.js and modern JavaScript/ES6
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and MySQL
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments (AWS or Azure)
Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
Experience with Oracle SQL & PL/SQL is a plus
Knowledge of insurance or financial services domain is desirable
Strong version control experience with Git
Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and web security best practices
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
