Job Description End-to-end management and monitoring of Cross Functional (CFT) efforts for new part/CBU development projects by Co-ordinating production proto & pilot batch approvals- with support of R&D, Product Engineering, Quality, Production and Sourcing Ensure all the pre requisites for development are available during the project initiation including Business proposal, production volume, production location, technology requirements, mould requirements etc Prepare and maintain project tracker and follow up with respective functions and vendors to complete developments as per schedule Prepare detailed activity tracker for all developments with timelines defined for each activity and monitor timelines to achieve milestones on time Liaise between vendors, Quality and R&D to resolve queries and communicate specifications for effective execution of projects Supporting suppliers for PPAP and other quality related documentation during development and handhold them until the trial lot approval Track stages of development and escalate accordingly on delay to the team concerned (Strategic Sourcing, Quality, R&D etc.) Identify bottlenecks in developments and appraise CFT and organize meetings to resolve issues to avoid last minute failures. Proactively highlight potential risks in project management and timely escalation of critical issues to senior stake holders/management. Identify and track benefits by analysing the qualitative and quantitative parameters during development phase Suggest potential value engineering ideas during the course of development Ensure adherence to all SOPs and processes during development Knowledge about NPD process and project management skills to resolve all potential risk during the process cycle. Excellent working relationship to be maintained with both internal and external customers as well as suppliers Job Requirements Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years professional experience in Development and project management Ability to identify bottlenecks during development and to resolve it in with in timeline Possesses analytical and mathematical skills, quick thinking and a solid understanding of the manufacturing process. Ability to evaluate supplier capability to develop part to avoid multiple sample iterations Remains current on new manufacturing trends for good productivity and reduced timelines Ability to read engineering blueprints or any relevant technical documents. Working knowledge on NPD process Technical understanding of assigned products. Ability to perform in a team environment with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. IT Skills:- Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel and Outlook. Language Skills: - Should be proficient in English and Hindi This position requires travel to meet suppliers across India. Knowledge in Sourcing and Negotiations. Preferences Experience in the sheet metal and plastic processing industry is preferred. Work attitude that exhibits commitment; ability to work with a variety of personalities; persuasion skills; decision making; dependability; flexibility and adaptability. Exposure in platforms like SAP, Ariba is an added advantage. Certifications in project management
