Expectations

Control on Shipping Line & CFS Detentions and Demurrages Handling of Customs House Agents and their Performance Handling transportation of Tankers and International FCA shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor Customs Clearances and CHA performance

Minimize detentions and demurrages of shipping lines and CFS at port for import shipments Perform on time clearances in coordination with CHA Resolve customs and FSSAI queries Perform all customs bonding procedures applicable Keep track of CHA performance and clearance time of imports Apply for CDSCO/ADC NOC as per procedures Forward customs duty payments to Finance

Handling transportation of FCA shipments for Imports and Ad-hoc Exports

Coordinate with approved freight forwarders for transportation Seek quotes and contract lowest cost transportation by sea or air for adhoc international lanes not within contract Ensure air/sea shipment on time for FCA inco terms in Imports Coordinate Export shipments when required by appointing freight forwarder and CHA

Contract Renewals

Ensure renewal of contracts of service providers on time Negotiate lowest possible cost through bid comparison

Procurement of locally managed Ingredients in Tankers ie Tanker Management

Ensure timely procurement of material to avoid shortages. Co-ordinate between warehouse team and CIP team and push for faster rotation of tankers

Experience Required

• Minimum 2 years in CHA, freight forwarding companies
• Working knowledge of SAP R/3 is required, knowledge of S/4 will be advantage
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Customs Clearing, Freight, Importing, Shipping, Sourcing and Procurement
