Senior Network Security Engineer

Job Description: Network Security Engineer (6+ Years Experience)

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Fortinet and Cisco security technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining advanced network security infrastructures to ensure the highest levels of protection, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage FortiGate firewalls (must-have expertise).

Configure and maintain Cisco ASA firewalls, VPNs, and related security features.

Handle advanced Routing & Switching across enterprise environments.

Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot network security systems.

Perform firewall policy management, rule optimization, and security posture reviews.

Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and mitigation activities.

Manage site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions.

Ensure compliance with security standards, best practices, and organizational policies.

Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation and network diagrams.

Required Skills & Experience

6+ years of hands-on experience in Network Security roles

Strong experience with FortiGate firewalls (mandatory).

Experience with Cisco ASA firewalls.

Solid understanding of Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, etc.).

Expertise in VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL, Remote Access).

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Ability to manage and secure large-scale network environments.

Working knowledge of security protocols, logs, and event monitoring.

Preferred (Optional) Skills

Experience with FortiManager / FortiAnalyzer.

Exposure to cloud networking (AWS, Azure).

Knowledge of IDS/IPS, NAC, and other security tools.
