Role Overview

The L1 Network Engineer will act as the first line of defense for monitoring and incident handling. This role focuses on network monitoring, ticketing, initial troubleshooting, documentation, and escalation to L2/L3 teams when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor network devices and links using NMS tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Fortinet Manager).

Monitor ticket queue and ServiceNow, SolarWinds dashboards.

Perform first-level troubleshooting on routers, switches, and different vendor firewalls.

Handle day-to-day incidents, requests, and alerts, escalating as per defined SOPs.

Document recurring issues, ticket updates, and resolution steps.

Support user connectivity issues (LAN, Wi-Fi – Aerohive, Fortinet).

Coordinate with L2 engineers for unresolved or complex issues.

Processing the queue of managed support tickets and follow-up with users and vendors accordingly.

Coordinate and work with the vendors for WAN/Internet link issues/flaps.

Providing Shift Handover and Shift Updates.

Execute DNS/DHCP changes

Publish, manage SOPs,KB articles and other project documentation.

Execute low to medium risk level tasks/changes/requests.

Required Skills & Technologies

Good understanding of Cisco Routing & Switching.

Exposure to SD-WAN Technologies, Cisco ASA/ASDM

Fortinet NextGen Firewalls (SD-WAN/Security), Fortinet switches

Good understanding of LAN, WAN and WIFI concepts.

Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow).

Strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications/Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent.

- 1–2 years of experience in NOC/Network support roles.

- CCNA (preferred).

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
