Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer at our company, you will be an integral part of the infrastructure team, responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our complex network infrastructure. Your expertise in networking technologies will ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance of our critical systems across on-premises and cloud environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions to meet current and future business requirements. - Develop high-level and low-level network designs (HLD/LLD) for various projects and initiatives. - Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives and architectural principles. - Implement and configure network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless access points from leading vendors. - Execute network changes following established change management processes and best practices. - Oversee and perform network upgrades and migrations. - Provide expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex network incidents and performance issues. - Utilize network monitoring tools and packet analyzers for diagnosing and resolving connectivity, performance, and security problems. - Design, implement, and manage network security solutions including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems, and network access control. - Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement remediation plans. - Ensure network security policies and configurations adhere to industry best practices and compliance requirements. - Monitor network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for optimal network health. - Perform capacity planning to proactively address growth and ensure adequate network resources. - Identify opportunities for network automation to improve efficiency and reduce errors. - Develop and implement network automation scripts for configuration management, monitoring, and deployment. - Create and maintain accurate network diagrams, documentation, and operational procedures. - Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and mentor junior network engineers. - Collaborate with hardware and software vendors, service providers, and telecommunication companies to resolve issues and evaluate new products. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering with a focus on designing, implementing, and supporting complex enterprise networks. - Deep understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching protocols (VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP), and QoS. - Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade firewalls and other network security technologies. - Experience with load balancing solutions and configuring/troubleshooting IPsec and SSL VPNs. - Expert-level network troubleshooting skills using packet capture tools and network monitoring systems. - Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and scripting languages for network operations. - Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. - Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
