Description
As a Network Systems Engineer at OpenBet, you will play a crucial role in maintaining all aspects of the organization's global network systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Interacting with users as a third level of escalation to the Corporate IT Support - Providing remote troubleshooting and fault finding when issues occur - Designing and implementing network solutions that meet the organization's needs, including the layout of network infrastructure, installation and configuration of network devices, and implementation of network services (LAN/WAN, wireless, and telecommunications) - Monitoring and maintaining network performance to ensure smooth and efficient operation, troubleshooting and resolving network issues, performing regular updates and maintenance, and optimizing network performance - Implementing and maintaining network security measures to protect the organization's data and systems, including configuring firewalls, managing access controls, and monitoring for security breaches - Collaborating with other IT professionals, vendors, and service providers to ensure the smooth operation of the network, coordinating equipment procurement and technical support - Managing network-related projects from planning to execution, setting project timelines, managing resources, and ensuring on-time and within budget delivery - Ensuring network infrastructure compliance with industry standards and regulations, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in networking technology and best practices - Providing input on improving stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment - Developing and maintaining detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and changes - Preparing and communicating regular reports on work-related activities, within the IT team and across departments - Providing training and support to users and IT staff on network-related issues - Being available for On Call / Stand By duties and performing any other duties as assigned To qualify for this role, you should have: - An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a similar relevant field - Minimum 4 years of experience in network design, implementation, and maintenance in a large-scale environment - Professional certifications such as CCNA (required) and CCNP (desirable), along with other technology certifications - Strong technical skills in networking protocols, network security practices, and experience with various network equipment and technologies - Excellent problem-solving skills, project management skills, and verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure, with a willingness to travel, work after hours, and weekends when required Join OpenBet and be part of a diverse and inclusive team that values and respects every voice, reflecting the rich tapestry of humanity.
