Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team. The candidate must be proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or equivalent) with strong expertise in injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, and other relevant mechanical design techniques. The role involves leading design projects, developing innovative mechanical solutions, and ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical components, assemblies, and products.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Design components for injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and other manufacturing techniques.
• Review and validate designs for strength, durability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and design calculations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, procurement, and vendors) to ensure smooth product realization.
• Guide junior engineers and provide technical mentorship.
• Maintain design documentation, BOMs, and revision control as per company standards.
• Participate in prototype development, testing, and design validation.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferred) and other CAD tools (AutoCAD, Creo, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and GD&T principles.
• Experience in product design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with FEA/CAE tools is an advantage.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical design (preferably in industrial/consumer product domains).
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and lead design initiatives independently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
