Senior Manager - Procurement

Role Overview: As a Senior Manager Procurement at Fermenta Biotech Limited (FBL), you will be responsible for managing procurement activities specifically for wastewater treatment projects. Your main duties will include sourcing materials, negotiating with vendors, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost-efficiency. It is crucial for you to closely collaborate with engineering, logistics, and project teams to ensure procurement aligns with technical requirements, timelines, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP system. - Follow up with vendors to ensure the earliest delivery of items for project purchases. - Coordinate with internal departments for the smooth delivery of project items. - Provide support to project and supply chain teams for logistic arrangements by visiting warehouses and verifying items. - Verify vehicle arrangements for transportation purposes and visit vendors for follow-up on project purchases and direct dispatch to customer sites. - Conduct first and second level negotiations for project items and ensure smooth delivery to warehouses. Qualification & Skill Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Engineering or equivalent, with experience in project procurement. - Minimum 8 years of experience in project procurement, with a background in wastewater treatment projects. - Proficiency in SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) & Materials Management (MM) Modules. - Strong communication skills. - Good knowledge of GST regulations.,
