Senior Manager - Manufacturing Engineering

Role & responsibilities

• Lead process engineering and tooling development for new product introductions (NPI/NPD).
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams to translate product designs into manufacturable processes.
• Define process flow, layout and equipment specifications for new assemblies.
• Ensure successful APQP / PPAP completion and ramp-up to mass production.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for productivity, safety, and quality.
• Conduct time & motion studies, line balancing, and cycle time reduction initiatives.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices to improve operational efficiency.
• Drive VA/VE (Value Analysis / Value Engineering) projects to reduce cost without compromising quality.
• Monitor and improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and plant productivity metrics.
• Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and customer-specific standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering is desirable.
• 1218 years in Manufacturing Engineering / Industrial Engineering / NPI within the Automotive Components Industry.
• Proven track record in new line setup, process optimization, and automation projects.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes injection molding, stamping, machining, and assembly.
• Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with tooling, jigs, and fixture design.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and communication abilities.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD / SolidWorks /CATIA) and SAP preferred.
