Senior Manager (International Accounting)

Position

This role focuses on leading the accounting, compliance, and reporting functions for a diversified group with multiple entities across geographies, involving team leadership, end-to-end accounting oversight, financial reporting, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books for holding company and global subsidiaries
• Prepare and deliver accurate MIS reports (individual and consolidated): P&L, balance sheet, cash flows, and financial ratios
• Ensure intercompany reconciliation and consolidation of group financials
• Supervise VAT return preparation and timely filing for international entities
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, including reconciliations and timely vendor payments
• Maintain full compliance with IFRS, Ind AS, and local GAAPs

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

• Drive budgeting and forecasting process for all international entities
• Monitor actual vs budget performance and provide variance analysis with insights
• Support senior management with data-driven inputs and presentations

3. Compliance, Audit & Controls

• Ensure adherence to local and global tax, regulatory, and audit requirements
• Oversee timely completion of statutory and group-level consolidated audits
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure audit readiness
• Implement and monitor internal controls and documentation standards

4. Team Leadership & People Development

• Manage a team of accountants across international geographies
• Define responsibilities, set KPIs, and monitor team performance
• Coach and guide team members to develop technical and leadership skills
• Enable collaboration and consistency across global finance functions

5. Process & Systems Management

• Streamline finance operations and implement process improvements
• Leverage ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics) for automation and reporting
• Standardize practices across countries for efficiency and transparency

Key Skills & Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards (IFRS/Ind AS)
• Hands-on experience in multi-entity, cross-border accounting and consolidation
• Strong grasp of AP/AR management, reconciliations, and VAT compliance
• Financial modeling, MIS reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders across time zones
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and presentation skills
• High level of accountability, integrity, and attention to detail
• Readiness to take on additional responsibilities in a growing global setup
