Senior Manager / DGM - AQ Trims

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading a team of Engineers in the development and delivery of key EV trims, including Plastic injection moulds, Interior & Exterior plastic Trims assembly, and painted parts. Your main focus will be on driving Quality maturation for continuous improvements in Quality, Build, and Craftsmanship. Additionally, you will be involved in deeper localization efforts to meet Auto PLI & FAME compliance, develop local supplier capabilities, and monitor supplier parts quality through audits. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of Engineers for the development and delivery of key EV trims such as Plastic injection moulds, Interior & Exterior plastic Trims assembly, Carpets, Door seals, seats, Bumpers, Spoilers, and Small Plastic & Rubber parts - Drive Quality maturation for improvements in Quality, Build, and Craftsmanship - Drive deeper localization efforts till Tier 3 to meet Auto PLI & FAME compliance, develop local supplier capabilities, and improve Serviceability - Monitor and improve supplier parts PPM/Vendor Parts Quality through audits - Perform gap analysis against Global Benchmarks and prepare action plans for Technology upgradation aligned with EV programs - De-risk the Supply chain through Alternate Sourcing, Capacity Management, and Trims with Sustainable raw material grades - Conduct Manufacturing Site assessments of trim suppliers, expedite ECN implementations, and establish Quality systems and processes - Establish CTQ parameters and monitor adherence - Establish Production Capacity at Suppliers end as well as Tier 2, Tier 3 and drive cost efficiencies through VA VE implementation Qualifications Required: - BE Mechanical / Polymer Engineering (preferred) Additional Details: The role requires a minimum of 15+ years of relevant work experience in the development of Polymer, Rubber & Soft Trims, their Tooling, and Quality maturation. You should have a thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, part development, Tool designing, Polymer properties, and Supplier Audits to meet high-quality standards. Strong technical skills in areas such as injection moulding, extrusion, plating, painting, and welding of interior and exterior trim parts are essential. Your problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, conflict management, and business acumen skills will be crucial for success in this role.,
