Senior Manager Designs - Electrical

Role Overview:

Key Requirements:

• Lead design of electrical systems for solar PV plants (utility-scale and C&I).
• Design MV/LV single line diagrams (SLDs), cable layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Selection and specification of electrical equipment including inverters, transformers, switchgear, SCADA, and protection systems.
• Perform load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies using software tools (e.g., ETAP, DIgSILENT, PVSyst).
• Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC, BIS, and other applicable standards.
• Validate equipment datasheets and vendor designs for compliance with project specs.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies (DISCOMs, CEIG, etc.) for approvals and grid compliance.
• Guide and mentor the electrical design team (engineers, draftsmen).
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and project teams for interdisciplinary design alignment.
• Manage design schedules, deliverables, and design-related risks during all project phases.
• Evaluate technical bids and participate in vendor selection for electrical equipment.
• Support procurement and project execution teams with technical inputs.
• Interface with clients, consultants, and external stakeholders during project development and execution.
• Develop and implement design quality checklists and standards.
• Ensure As-Built drawings and documentation are complete and accurate.
