Senior Lawyer ( Real Estate & Farmland Industry )

We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Senior Lawyer to oversee all legal aspects related to our real estate and farmland business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling legal due diligence, land acquisition, compliance, litigation, contract management, and regulatory issues. You will act as the point of contact for all legal matters and ensure that the organization operates within the law at all times while providing strategic legal advice.

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct legal due diligence of land and property documents for acquisition, lease, and sale transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents including sale deeds, lease agreements, MoUs, joint development agreements, and power of attorney documents.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to real estate and farmland transactions.
• Liaise with external legal counsel and government authorities for registrations, approvals, and legal proceedings.
• Represent the company in legal proceedings, including civil, criminal, and revenue matters.
• Monitor legal risk in real estate documentation and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain updated knowledge of applicable property, land acquisition, and agricultural land laws.
• Advise management on legal rights, obligations, and risks in day-to-day operations and strategic decisions.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Law (LLB); Master’s degree or specialization in Property Law is a plus.

• Minimum 4+ years of legal experience, preferably in real estate and farmland-related legal matters.

• Thorough knowledge of land acquisition laws, RERA, land revenue laws, and applicable state-specific regulations.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
