Senior IT Engineer

Role & responsibilities

IT Infrastructure & Device Management

• Oversee procurement, configuration, and deployment of devices for both India and Germany.
• Manage full asset lifecycle: tagging, inventory, audits, returns, and renewals.
• Ensure secure configuration and device hardening via Microsoft Intune (MDM) and JAMF Pro.

Local & Global IT Support

• Act as the senior escalation point for all IT issues in India and Germany.
• Deliver hands-on troubleshooting for on-site issues and support remote teams globally.
• Manage IT ticket resolution and service management using Jira Service Management.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage external vendor relationships for hardware procurement, software solutions, and support services in India and Germany.
• Oversee vendor SLAs, contracts, escalations, and renewal cycles.

IT Operations & Compliance

• Oversee and optimize the Microsoft 365 environment, including Azure Entra ID and security components.

• Drive incident response and ensure endpoint security monitoring using Microsoft Defender and JAMF Protect.

ISO Standards & Security

• Derive, implement, and maintain ISO-compliant policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular compliance audits and enforce IT security frameworks.
• Prepare IT systems for external and internal ISO 27001 audits.

Process Leadership & Documentation

• Own and continually enhance IT SOPs for employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Automate workflows for ticketing, asset management, and compliance reporting.
• Mentor junior IT staff and enforce best practices in IT operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of IT Operations experience in a multi-location/global environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with:

• Microsoft 365, Intune (MDM), and Azure Entra ID

• JAMF Pro and JAMF Connect for macOS device management
• Jira Service Management (ticketing & automation)
• Proven knowledge and experience with ISO 27001 standards, IT security frameworks, and audit processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven track record in vendor management.
