SENIOR GEOLOGIST

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Geologist with a strong background in iron ore exploration and mining. The candidate must have prior work experience in Odisha’s geological terrain, with proven expertise in exploration, reserve estimation, mine planning support, and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct geological mapping, exploration, and resource estimation specifically for iron ore deposits.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret geological samples and survey data to assess quality and grade.
• Prepare geological reports, reserve/resource statements, and mine planning inputs as per industry standards.
• Coordinate with mine planning, survey, and operations teams to ensure optimum utilization of resources.
• Ensure compliance with DGMS, IBM, MoEF, and other statutory requirements.
• Supervise drilling, sampling, and exploration activities at the site.
• Monitor ore quality control during production and advise operations for selective mining.
• Support in preparation of geological models, feasibility studies, and project development plans.

Key Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology/Applied Geology from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in iron ore exploration/mining, with mandatory work exposure in Odisha region.
• Strong knowledge of iron ore mineralization, lithology, and local stratigraphy of Odisha.
• Familiarity with geological software (Surpac, Datamine, Minex, AutoCAD, etc.) will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Indian mining regulations and reporting standards.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in field/site conditions in Odisha.

SALARY -30,000 -80,000
