What you’ll do

• Design and implement React/TypeScript UI for dataset inventory, schema/metadata views, lineage graphs, approvals, dashboards.
• Build UX for policy authoring, data requests/approvals, and governed workspaces.
• Develop APIs (REST/GraphQL) in Python (FastAPI) or Node (NestJS).
• Implement ingestion pipelines (dbt/Airflow).
• Implement policy & consent enforcement at query time.
• Stand up search and graph services (OpenSearch, Neo4j).
• Integrate with EHRs, data warehouses, lakes (FHIR/HL7, DICOM, SQL, S3, GCS, Azure, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks).
• Publish governed reuse packages for AI/ML teams.
• Engineer HIPAA-grade controls, audit, encryption, de-identification, compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA).
• Help create IP, co-design features, contribute to patents.
• Convert workflows into shippable features, run user tests, establish best practices.

Minimum qualifications

• 5+ years building full-stack products with React/TypeScript + Python (FastAPI) or Node (NestJS).
• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs; SQL + JSON modeling.
• Delivered complex, data-heavy UX (tables, metadata, lineage).
• Hands-on PostgreSQL, caching, job queues, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Security mindset: OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, RBAC/ABAC, secrets, audit logging.
• Ability to work from loose specs, talk to users, ship iteratively.

Preferred qualifications:

• Healthcare data experience (FHIR, HL7, DICOM, payer/provider data).
• Familiarity with data catalogs/lineage tools (DataHub, Apache Atlas, Amundsen).
• Experience with PII/PHI detection, masking, de-identification.
• Knowledge of ML/AI pipelines, feature sets.
• Cloud experience AWS/Azure/GCP, Terraform.
• Experience with Kafka, OpenSearch, Neo4j.
