This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on full-stack web applications that directly impact product performance and user experience. You will collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, working across both front-end and back-end development. The position emphasizes building scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to code best practices. Accountabilities
- Collaborate with product management and design teams to understand requirements and transform them into technical specifications and features
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails code for back-end services
- Create responsive and interactive front-end components using React.js
- Develop and integrate APIs, services, and databases to support scalable applications
- Participate in code reviews to maintain quality standards, share knowledge, and mentor junior developers
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues, providing timely resolutions
- Stay updated with industry trends, tools, and technologies to continuously enhance product quality and development practices
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional experience in web application development using Ruby on Rails
- Proficiency in Ruby programming and deep understanding of Rails framework
- Solid grasp of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Strong front-end experience with React.js and modern web application development
- Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and RSpec for Rails applications
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git
- Experience with GraphQL and Apollo client is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to staying current with emerging technologies
- Flexibility to work US hours (India night shift) until at least 5 p.m. ET
- Must have a personal system/work setup suitable for remote work
