Position Overview

Senior Finance Expert with 15+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing finance to lead our financial strategy, drive operational excellence, and optimize business performance

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Strategy

• Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with manufacturing operations and growth objectives
• Lead profitability analysis by product line, plant, and customer segment
• Drive working capital optimization initiatives (inventory management, payables/receivables)

2. Cost Management & Operational Finance

• Oversee plant-level cost accounting (standard costing, variance analysis)
• Implement activity-based costing for complex manufacturing processes
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities (material yield, overhead absorption)

3. Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts
• Develop capital investment appraisal models for capacity expansion
• Create scenario analyses to mitigate raw material price volatility

4. Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP for manufacturing entities
• Strengthen internal controls over production reporting and inventory valuation
• Manage external audits and implement corrective actions

5. Business Partnering & Digital Transformation

• Partner with Operations on make-vs-buy decisions and outsourcing analysis
• Implement ERP/MES integration for real-time financial visibility
• Drive digital finance initiatives (RPA, predictive analytics, BI tools)

Technical Competencies

Core Qualifications:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent

Manufacturing Expertise:

• Deep understanding of production costing (labour, overhead allocation)
• Experience with lean manufacturing finance
• Knowledge of supply chain finance in manufacturing contexts

Systems Proficiency:

• Advanced ERP skills
• Advanced Excel modelling (VBA/Macros)

Leadership Expectations

• Mentor and develop plant controllers and finance teams
• Present financial insights to executive leadership
• Lead cross-functional initiatives (new product costing, plant rationalization)
