Job Summary

To plan and arrange delivery of the standard stores basket as well as the vessels emergency stores requisition based on convenient port and budget based on the vessels trading pattern.

Graduate

Experience:

1 - 4 years of Procurement experience with organization.

Skills Required:

Good Communication Skills

Good Negotiation Skills

Good Knowledge of Microsoft office

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Monitor the stores requisitions raised from the vessel and arranging them
• To plan and arrange delivery of the standard stores basket as well as the vessels emergency stores requisition based on convenient port and budget based on the vessels trading pattern.
• To get quotes from minimum 2 suppliers with proper communication and specifications. Ensuring the use of approved vendors To ensure that the procedures are followed by the execs and the databases the status logs updated. Ensuring that the purchase procedures are followed in the software.
• Addressing vendor queries regarding outstanding payments.
• To compare the quotes received and select the most suitable supplier. Cost effective without sacrificing the quality.
• Get proper approvals for higher value orders from Tech Supt, Fleet Managers before issuing the PO.
• Follow up on invoices and to make sure the invoices are cleared on time.
• Overseeing the vessel budget on a weekly basis.
• Training the new purchase personnel in the procurement process, the company procedures and the purchase software.
• Comply with lawful work instructions of the companys management, which may not be specifically listed above, but necessary for the companys functions as a Ship Manager, smooth operation of the office and implementation of the Safety Management System.
