Job Description

Job Purpose:

To manage and support HR & Administrative functions at the manufacturing plant with a strong focus on contractual manpower management, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and general administrative activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resource Management

  • Handle

    contractual manpower

    requirements including recruitment, onboarding, deployment, attendance, wage calculation, and separation.
  • Coordinate with contractors for smooth workforce availability, timely payments, and statutory documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with

    Labour Laws

    and statutory requirements (Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, PF, ESI, etc.).
  • Monitor workforce productivity, absenteeism, and attrition, and suggest corrective measures.
  • Assist in handling disciplinary issues, grievance management, and maintaining harmonious industrial relations.
  • Support training & development initiatives for workers and staff to enhance skills and productivity.

Administration

  • Manage plant-level administrative activities including security, housekeeping, canteen, transportation, and other facility management.
  • Ensure cost-effective utilization of resources while maintaining quality standards in administration.
  • Oversee vendor/contractor management for admin services.
  • Support in organizing audits, inspections, and visits.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain statutory registers, employee records, and contractor compliance documents.
  • Prepare MIS reports related to manpower, compliance, attendance, overtime, and attrition.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, safety, and health regulations.

Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Drive employee welfare initiatives, health camps, safety programs, and engagement activities.
  • Build rapport with workers and staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Education:

    MBA/PGDM in HR / MSW / Masters in HR or related field.
  • Experience:

    4 to 7 years in HR & Admin, preferably in a

    manufacturing/plant environment

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    labour laws, compliances, and contract labour management

    .
  • Good interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and leadership qualities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, HR systems, and reporting.
  • Ability to handle multi-stakeholder coordination (management, contractors, workforce, government authorities).
