Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Enterprise Engineer with deep expertise in UNIX systems, AIX environments, and payment gateway infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring the resilience, scalability, and security of our enterprise platforms supporting mission-critical financial transactions across global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade UNIX/AIX systems to support high-volume payment processing.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, patching cycles, and performance tuning across distributed environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and maintain secure payment gateway solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal security protocols.
• Provide Tier-3 support and root cause analysis for complex system incidents.
• Drive automation and scripting initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions for platform evolution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in UNIX system engineering, with strong proficiency in AIX.
• Proven track record in managing and optimizing payment gateway infrastructure (e.g., SWIFT, ISO 20022, or proprietary platforms).
• Expertise in shell scripting, system hardening, and performance diagnostics.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, Dynatrace).
• Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and secure data transmission.
• Experience in financial services or regulated environments preferred.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Certifications in UNIX/Linux administration, IBM AIX, or payment systems (e.g., PCI-DSS, SWIFT CSP).
• Exposure to cloud migration strategies or hybrid infrastructure models.
