Job Description

Key Skills:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain servers in a Linux environment, including OpenSUSE, CentOS, and Red Hat Enterprise.
Monitor the health of Linux servers through automated and manual processes.
Design, develop, and implement infrastructure monitoring and reporting tools using scripting languages such as BASH and PowerShell.
Perform server hardware maintenance, upgrades, and disaster recovery exercises.
Support and maintain the Superna Search and Recovery platform and the Superna DR platform.
Create test automation frameworks in collaboration with team members or other IT departments.
Maintain software repositories and apply software updates.
Document procedures, configurations, and programs.
Conduct continuous research and audits to ensure high levels of performance, security, and availability of Linux operating systems and peripheral devices.
Manage change control tickets related to Linux asset management and maintenance.
Knowledge of datacenter management, including capacity management, rack and stack, and hardware replacements with onsite support for servers and storage.

Skills Required:

Strong hands-on experience in Linux Administration (OpenSUSE / CentOS / RHEL)
Server Management including provisioning, maintenance, upgrades & troubleshooting
Expertise in Vulnerability Management and Patch Management
Proficiency in Scripting (Bash / Shell scripting mandatory; PowerShell preferred)
Experience with System Monitoring & Reporting Tools
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) environments
Familiarity with Windows server administration (nice to have)
Exposure to Storage systems & datacenter operations (nice to have)
