Job Description

Roles & responsibilities

Source and manage suppliers for plastic and rubber parts and raw materials.
Negotiate prices, delivery timelines and contract terms.
Build strong supplier relationships to ensure quality and reliability.
Conduct audits and evaluate supplier performance regularly.
Work with design and technical teams to issue RFQs and review quotes.
Support supplier selection based on cost, quality, and technical fit.
Review and validate BOMs with engineering and production teams.
Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, Quality, Production, Finance) to align sourcing with project goals.
Drive cost savings through alternate sourcing, value engineering and supplier consolidation.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Preferred candidate profile

6-8 years in sourcing of plastic injection moulded parts and rubber components.
Strong understanding of plastic injection molding and rubber molding processes.
Proficient in 2D drawing interpretation and engineering documentation.
Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM) structure and management.
Good in basic mathematical calculations and unit conversions.
Working knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD software is an added advantage.
