Role Description

Your key responsibilities
Support both routine changes and large projects in the network backbone, data center, extranets, the trading floor, and the branch network. Projects will range from the design and buildouts of new locations and silos to the rollout of new features and functionality for global initiatives in support of global market data applications, financial systems and infrastructure involving high volume securities trading and financial transactions.Responsible for designing and implementing solutions leveraging and expanding on existing design standards, liaising with internal customers, raising changes and deploying new technologies as required by the project. Responsible for delivering the requisite level of network resiliency and for testing network failover.Support project managers and the regional management team in project planning, tracking, and reporting when required.
Your skills and experience
5-10 years of experience working in a corporate global network environment, ideally with financial institutionsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrict adherence to change procedures and design/configuration guidelinesAble to work independently and as a member of a teamAbility to work under pressure and support multiple projectsExhibit a high degree of integritySelf-starter and disciplined in your approach to workStrong background in routing and switching including VLANs (802.1Q), OSPF and HSRPCisco CCNP or CCDP (Routing and Switching preferred) certified or demonstrated equivalent knowledgeExperience in MAN/WAN technologies like MPLS and VPN, and DWDMExperience in structured cablingKnowledge of applied QOS strategiesExperience in WLAN including controllersHands-on experience with most of the followingCISCO ASR/ISR routers, Nexus 3K and 5K, and Catalyst 2K, 3K, 4K and 6K platformsFamiliarity with DNS and DHCPProficiency in MS Office tools including VisioCisco CCIE certified (Routing and Switching preferred)Experience with VRF, NAT, ACLs, BGP, Netflow and multicast routingITIL v3 Foundation certifiedExperience with F5, Arista, Corvil, McAfee and CheckpointExperience with SMARTS and Cisco PrimeFamiliarity with virtualized, SDN and cloud-based compute solutionsFamiliarity with SAN, databases, and IT technologies outside of networksProject management awareness, including developing a bill of materials for project cost proposalsAwareness, privacy or regulatory procedures and standards that are required in the financial services industryThe role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends due to business requirements
