External Qualifications- Ensure the timely completion of all project specifications, designs, drawings and requisitions for areas of responsibility assigned to him
Ensure all documentation within the scope of his responsibility is prepared, checked, reviewed and approved in accordance with the Discipline Working Instructions for the project Carry out review of vendors bids and documentation for technical acceptability Carry out inspection of equipment, when requested by Project Manager, as per relevant approved documents (like Purchase Orders, Final Vendor Drawings etc) to ensure that equipment manufactured is in line with all approved Technical Specification Provide technical assistance to other design groups as necessary Detailed engineering activities for various stated equipments such as Pumps, Cooling Tower, Compressors, Pharma Machinery, Boilers, Material Handling etc, Preparation of technical specification and technical data sheet for various equipments, Preparation of technical bid evaluation, Checking of vendor drawings/design wrt specification/design parameters, Able to achieve target with quality norms Knowledge on unit operations like, distillation, filtration, heat transfer etc Design of heat exchangers, pumps specifications, hydraulics calculations Knowledge on utilities system such as cooling water system, Boilers, Compressed Air and Instrument Air system, Nitrogen system etc Knowledge on tankages Sound knowledge of Bulk specialty gases,Inert & Hazardous gases, Toxic, corrosive, and flammable gases Understanding of Exhaust abatement systems required by the specialty gas System Storage of leaking cylinders in cabinets or cylinder caskets Sound knowledge off Chemical Distribution Units Sound knowledge of Chemical Waste system Participation in 3D model reviews Knowledge of national, international codes and standards Vendor data reviews Should be able to lead and guide a group of engineers Understanding of Project requirements like productivity/ schedule workhour control etc Have good understanding of requirements of the downstream groups like piping / instrumentation / mechanical etc Good communication skills, verbal and written so as to communicate with client and lead offices We value collaboration and believe that in-person interactions are crucial for both our culture and client delivery We empower employees with our hybrid working policy, allowing them to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations enabling them to deliver their best work Here's what you'll need Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering degree is a must Minimum 11 year experience in a reputed organization or a Consultancy, preferably with the following experience
