The
Senior Engineer – Manufacturing Engineering
is responsible for driving the development and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, with a strong focus on the design and implementation of tools, fixtures, and jigs to support efficient and high-quality production.This role plays a key part in ensuring operational excellence by delivering innovative engineering solutions that enhance productivity, reduce cycle times, improve workplace safety, and support new product introductions within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero-harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
- Design and develop high-quality 3D models of fixtures, jigs, and tooling using UG NX software, ensuring alignment with manufacturing requirements and design standards.
- Lead the introduction of new products and processes within the WMI framework, ensuring smooth integration into the production environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including technology, product engineering, and manufacturing—to ensure design feasibility and alignment with NPI goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce cycle times, enhance safety, and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen.
- Stay current with advancements in 3D design tools and manufacturing technologies to drive innovation and maintain best practices.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE – Mechanical) or completion of a 4-year GTTC program.
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on designing fixtures, tools, and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs).
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software, particularly UG NX, for designing manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen.
- Knowledge of safety standards and ergonomic considerations in tool and fixture design for production environments.
