Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - Product Supply Chain

Role Overview: As the Product Supply Chain Leader (PSCL), you are responsible for developing and implementing global supply chain plans and initiatives to drive flawless Supply Chain and Cost Optimization programs. Your role involves collaborating across various departments within a highly matrixed organization to meet the COST, QUALITY, DELIVERY, SPEED, and CASH targets for manufacturing plants and deliver Net Savings Targets for the business. Key Responsibilities: - Understand the cost drivers for the Casting and Casting Machining categories & services. - Identify potential suppliers and create competition among them. - Develop "partners of choice" relationships with strategic suppliers in line with the Category Strategy and Supplier. - Plan for growth and capacity requirements, leveraging supplier capabilities for on-time-to-market, cost, and launch readiness. - Align suppliers to the Strategy by completing due diligence on new suppliers and finalizing the panel of suppliers for cost reduction programs. - Maintain close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering departments to gain applicable supplier approvals. - Drive Sourcing Projects, complete Initial RFQ Analysis, prepare TCO Model, and review with partners for cost-down opportunities. - Update cross-functional teams on sourcing project progress and coordinate project gate reviews. - Complete Cost Tensioning using E-Sourcing and manage supplier contracts to develop relationships and minimize business risks. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Production Engineering. - Proficiency in English, both oral and written. - Strong negotiation and project management skills with multi-disciplinary teams. - At least 8 years of related functional working experience in Supply Chain, with experience in handling Castings preferred. - Capability in planning, analytics, structured problem-solving, facilitating, and presentation skills. - Persuasive communication, influencing & negotiation skills. - Extensive contract negotiation & management, strong supplier management experience. - Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain management, global / best cost country (BCC) sourcing, and logistics optimization initiatives.,
