Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced and highly capable Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to lead architecture and development of embedded hardware and firmware for cutting-edge sensor-based products.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with low-power RF, CMOS image sensors, and real-time embedded systems.

Prior work in medical imaging, such as endoscopes or similar, is a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities.

  • Design and develop embedded firmware (bare-metal and/or RTOS-based). Lead board bring-up, debugging, and performance tuning of custom hardware.
  • Integrate and optimize CMOS image sensors, including MIPI, ISP calibration, and lowlight tuning.
  • Develop and validate low-power RF hardware, including BLE, 2.4GHz, and sub-GHz radios.
  • Own system-level firmware lifecycles: OTA updates, diagnostics, power modes, and sensor drivers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams: electrical, software, optical, mechanical, and manufacturing.
  • Guide junior engineers and contractors via code/design reviews and mentoring. Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with embedded systems and hardware design.
  • Strong background in:

- ARM Cortex-M or equivalent microcontrollers

- RF system design and wireless debugging (BLE, proprietary)

- CMOS image sensor integration (ISP tuning, lens shading, power sequencing)

- Embedded C/C++ development with real-time debugging

  • Hands-on with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and power profiling tools.
  • Comfortable with I2C, SPI, UART, USB, GPIOs, and PMIC integration.

Preferred/Bonus Qualifications

  • Medical imaging experience (e.g., endoscopy systems, imaging catheters, ophthalmoscopes, laryngoscopes, otoscopes etc).
  • Familiar with image processing pipelines, ISP configurations, and real-world tuning.
  • Experience with wireless stack implementation or driver development.
  • Low-power system optimization (sleep modes, DC/DC converters, battery management).
  • Familiarity with ECAD tools (Altium, KiCad, or similar).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Performance bonus
  • Equity/Stock Options
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and national holidays
  • Flexible working hours
  • Opportunity to live and work abroad
