Job Description

The Senior Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of solar power systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and hybrid renewable setups. The role requires hands-on expertise in both electrical and electrochemical systems, along with leadership skills to guide junior technicians and ensure high-quality service and safety standards. Key Responsibilities:Installation & Commissioning Lead installation, wiring, and commissioning of solar PV systems, inverters, charge controllers, and battery banks. Ensure proper configuration, testing, and integration of hybrid solar-battery systems. Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of battery systems (Lithium-ion, Lead-acid, etc.) and solar equipment. Diagnose faults in inverters, solar charge controllers, and battery management systems (BMS). Maintain service logs and report performance issues to engineers. Technical Support & Supervision Supervise and train junior technicians during on-site work. Provide technical support to customers and assist in after-sales service calls. Conduct system performance checks and recommend upgrades or replacements. Quality & Safety Compliance Ensure adherence to company standards and safety protocols (electrical safety, PPE, fire prevention). Support documentation of installation checklists, service reports, and test results. Continuous Improvement Suggest process improvements for installation and maintenance practices. Keep updated with new technologies in renewable energy and battery storage.
