Senior Electrical Technician

As a Senior Technician Electrician at the shipyard in Kochi, your role will involve supervising and managing electrical maintenance, repair, and installation works for shipyard projects. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of electricians, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of work. Your expertise in electrical troubleshooting, wiring, cabling, glanding, and termination will play a crucial role in maintaining compliance with safety standards, shipyard protocols, and electrical regulations. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining and repairing electrical panels, motors, control systems, and power distribution. Collaboration with engineering and technical teams will be essential for the smooth execution of projects. Your responsibilities will also include preparing daily reports, monitoring progress, and escalating issues when required. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and manage electrical maintenance, repair, and installation works in shipyard projects. - Oversee a team of electricians, assign tasks, and ensure timely completion of work. - Handle electrical troubleshooting, wiring, cabling, glanding, and termination. - Ensure compliance with safety standards, shipyard protocols, and electrical regulations. - Maintain and repair electrical panels, motors, control systems, and power distribution. - Coordinate with engineering and technical teams for smooth project execution. - Prepare daily reports, monitor progress, and escalate issues when required. Qualifications Required: - ITI/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification. - 5-10 years of relevant experience in shipyard or heavy industry projects. - Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety practices. - Experience in team handling and site supervision. - Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
