Job Description

As a Director / Senior Director of Sales at our company, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by managing the entire sales lifecycle for our life sciences and biopharma customer base. Your responsibilities will include building a predictable pipeline, closing strategic accounts, and collaborating with various stakeholders to shape commercial strategy and ensure customer success. You will be leading and managing the full sales cycle, from creating the pipeline to closing contracts. Your focus will be on driving revenue growth in key markets such as large pharma, biotech, and data-forward life sciences organizations. Tracking and reporting key sales metrics will be essential, including forecast accuracy, pipeline health, and win rates. Collaboration with marketing, solutions, and delivery teams will be crucial in developing and executing the strategic sales plan. You will be expected to segment target accounts and create customized outreach strategies for each segment/persona. Additionally, you will work closely with demand gen and marketing teams to accelerate pipeline growth. As a key player in the sales team, you will manage and mentor a growing sales team and solution managers across different geographies. Acting as a bridge between sales, delivery, and product teams, you will ensure solution alignment and smooth handoffs. Supporting deal structuring, pricing, and proposal development with internal stakeholders will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will partner with solution managers and customer success teams to expand the company's footprint in existing accounts. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers and executive sponsors will be crucial for the long-term growth of strategic accounts through upsell/cross-sell opportunities. To qualify for this role, you should have 10-14 years of experience in B2B/enterprise sales, preferably in SaaS, AI/ML, or life sciences tech. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in the US or global markets is required. Deep familiarity with consultative selling, value-based positioning, and enterprise buying cycles is essential, along with experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing solution or pre-sales functions. Preferred qualifications include experience selling to Pharma R&D, Bioinformatics, or Life Sciences IT teams, a strong understanding of data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML-driven solutions, prior startup or scale-up experience, and excellent communication and negotiation skills with C-level stakeholders.
