About the Role We are looking for a Director / Senior Director of Sales to drive revenue growth by owning the entire sales lifecycle — from qualified opportunity to closure — across our life sciences and biopharma customer base. This is a high-impact role responsible for building a predictable pipeline, closing strategic accounts, and aligning cross-functional stakeholders including delivery and GTM leadership. You will be a key voice in shaping commercial strategy and customer success across high-value accounts. What You’ll Drive Lead and own the full sales cycle — from pipeline creation, deal pursuit, solution alignment, to contract closure. Drive revenue growth in key markets, with a focus on large pharma, biotech, and data-forward life sciences orgs. Track and report key sales metrics, including forecast accuracy, pipeline health, and win rates. Build and execute the strategic sales plan in collaboration with marketing, solutions, and delivery. Segment target accounts and craft customized outreach strategies for each segment/persona. Collaborate with demand gen and marketing to accelerate pipeline growth. Manage and mentor a growing sales team and solution managers across geographies. Act as a bridge between sales, delivery, and product to ensure solution alignment and smooth handoffs. Support deal structuring, pricing, and proposal development with internal stakeholders. Partner with solution managers and customer success teams to expand footprint in existing accounts. Must-Have Qualifications 10–14 years of experience in B2B/enterprise sales, ideally in SaaS, AI/ML, or life sciences tech. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in the US or global markets. Deep familiarity with consultative selling, value-based positioning, and enterprise buying cycles. Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, delivery, product, etc.). Experience managing solution or pre-sales functions alongside sales ownership. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling to Pharma R&D, Bioinformatics, or Life Sciences IT teams. Strong understanding of data platforms, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML-driven solutions. Role Overview As the Director of Delivery, you will be responsible for leading and scaling Elucidata’s delivery function across a portfolio of complex, high-impact data and AI/ML projects in the pharma and biotech industries. This role is critical to ensuring timely, high-quality execution of customer engagements and internal programs, while building the operational muscle to support scale. You will bring deep domain expertise in life sciences or healthcare, a strong understanding of the end-to-end data lifecycle in pharma/biotech R&D, and a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary delivery teams and operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Delivery Leadership Lead end-to-end delivery for all customer programs, ensuring alignment with customer objectives, timelines, and quality standards. Build and oversee project governance, cadence, and execution mechanisms across engagements. Act as an escalation point for delivery risks, delays, or resourcing issues and implement proactive mitigation strategies. 2. Stakeholder Management & Solutions Act as a key partner to Solutions, Product, and Commercial teams to align delivery with strategic account plans. Regularly engage with client-side stakeholders including R&D leaders, computational biologists, and IT to ensure program success. Maintain high NPS scores through transparent communication and operational excellence. 3. Team Building & Operational Excellence Build and lead a high-performing team of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Project Leads. Implement delivery best practices, KPIs, dashboards, and quality control frameworks to ensure predictable execution. Identify, define, and optimize repeatable playbooks for different types of customer engagements (e.g., platform deployment, data harmonization, AI/ML pilots). 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product & Engineering to align delivery feedback with the product roadmap. Work closely with Revenue Ops and Finance to manage resourcing plans, utilization, and profitability of delivery programs. Must-Have Qualifications 10+ years of delivery, operations, or program management experience in the pharma, biotech, or healthcare space. Proven experience leading delivery teams across domains such as bioinformatics, data harmonization, data engineering, and analytics. Deep understanding of biomedical data (e.g., omics, clinical trials, EHR, real-world data). Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs with external stakeholders under tight timelines. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree or PhD in Life Sciences, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. MBA is a plus.
