Description
You will be a Senior Machine Learning Scientist responsible for developing advanced ML solutions to analyze complex biological datasets. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning algorithms for various biological data types including genomics, transcriptomics, mass spec, and imaging datasets. You will also be tasked with integrating diverse data types to extract meaningful biological insights. To excel in this role, you need to stay updated with the latest ML methods and their applications in life sciences to propose innovative solutions. Collaboration with bioinformaticians, data scientists, and domain experts is essential to ensure seamless integration of ML models into workflows. Additionally, you will optimize and deploy ML models on cloud platforms for scalable analysis and contribute to preprocessing, feature engineering, and quality control of large biological datasets. The ideal candidate should hold a Masters or Bachelors degree with 3-4 years of experience in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields. A solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn is required. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex biological data are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Experience with biological datasets, cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure), and scalable computing platforms is preferred. Additionally, familiarity with biomedical ontologies, pathway analysis, or systems biology approaches, as well as a strong publication record in ML or bioinformatics journals, would be advantageous for this role.,
