Senior Bioinformatics Scientist

About the Role:

The person in this role will be responsible for delivering AI solutions to customers on top of Elucidatas technology. This role involves a unique blend of applying AI, a deep understanding of biology, and complex data to generate actionable insights. In this customer-facing role, you will work with commercial teams to grow accounts and develop new opportunities. The role requires strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee customer projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality of deliverables.
• Innovate on tools and pipelines to analyze multi-modal biological data.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the domain to architect innovative solutions addressing client pain points.
• Lead and manage customer-facing projects and multidisciplinary teams of biological scientists, ML-engineers and data scientists.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering within timelines and within budget
• Work with internal R&D teams to align goals with customer expectations.
• Identify opportunities to expand our business with existing customers and generate new commercial opportunities.
• Support the sales team in pre-sales activities, including product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proposal development.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. with 2-3 years of industrial/academic experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Proven expertise in processing and analyzing multi-omics data (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.) with a strong emphasis on end-to-end analysis of single-cell transcriptomics data to derive actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience leading customer-facing projects with successful delivery records.

Good-to-have:

• Proficiency in coding with both R and Python
• Experience in performing integration analysis of NGS data across different modalities
• Experience working with cloud technologies and scalable computing platforms
• Familiarity with AI/ML applications in biomedical data analysis.
• Strong publishing record in peer-reviewed journals
• Ability to think strategically and translate customer needs into technical solutions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role, with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
