Senior Director-Data Science - Job Title: Head - Data Science Location: Noida Department: Data Science Reports to: Global CPTO About the Role We are seeking a visionary Head of Data Science to lead and scale our data science function in a fast - growing Fintech environment. This role is pivotal in driving data - driven decision - making, optimizing financial products, and building advanced machine learning models that enhance customer experience, manage risk, and fuel business growth. As the Head of Data Science, you will be responsible for defining our data strategy, leading a high - performing team of data scientists , AI/ML Eng ineers and Credit Risk analysts. C ollaborating cross - functionally with Product, Engineering, Risk, and Business teams. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Strategy • Define and execute the data science vision and strategy aligned with company goals. • Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, AI/ ML engineers, and credit risk an alysts . • Develop frameworks and best practices for data experimentation, modeling, and deployment. • Champion a data - driven culture across the organization. Model Development & Innovation • Lead the development of predictive and prescriptive models in areas such as: o Credit scoring and risk assessment o Fraud detection and prevention o Customer segmentation and lifetime value modeling o Personalization and recommendation systems o Pricing optimization and product analytics • Ensure scalability, interpretability, and regulatory compliance of all models. Data Infrastructure & Governance • Collaborate with data engineering to ensure robust data pipelines, architecture, and quality. • Establish standards for data governance, security, and ethical AI practices. • Drive the integration of data science solutions into production systems. Cross - Functional Collaboration • Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate ML models into fintech applications and workflows. • Work with Risk and Compliance to align analytical models with regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR). • Provide actionable insights to Executive Leadership for strategic business decisions. Qualifications Education & Experience • B a chelor ’ s , M aster’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, including 5 + years in leadership role. • Proven experience in the Fintech or Financial Services industry is highly preferred. Technical Skills • Expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and AI techniques. • Strong programming skills in Python , R , and familiarity with SQL , Spark , or Scala . • Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, Scikit - learn) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Understanding of data infrastructure and MLOps principles. • Familiarity with financial datasets, credit bureaus, transaction data, and regulatory data requirements. Leadership & Soft Skills • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into analytical solutions. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Proven record of building and scaling data science teams. • Strong ethical judgment in data use and AI decision - making.
