This Position reports to: REGIONAL PROJECT ENGINEERING DIRECTOR-DI In this role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop, implement, and facilitate successful onboarding of digital solutions and the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. Each day, you will provide consultative assistance in supporting the use of products with the goal to improve productivity and efficiency. You will also showcase your expertise by helping the customers to achieve their solution goals and objectives by leveraging domain expertise and knowledge on ABB's digital solutions. The work model for the role is: #LI Hybrid This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of Process Industry Division in Hyderabad Location. You will be mainly accountable for: Demonstrates solid proficiency in software engineering and the ability to contribute ideas in Pulp & Paper Industry with their own area of competence. Contributes to the software product roadmap and portfolio through suggesting new features, functionality, and variants. Works independently alongside the Sales team to identify the customer’s needs and to accordingly demonstrate and articulate the features of the digital solution and its ability to meet the needs. Participates (independently) in the assigned stages of the end-to-end customer lifecycle including digital opportunity identification, opportunity qualification, discovery and value engineering, solution blueprinting, PoC / pilot, solution deployment, and post go-live operations/support. Qualifications for the role: 15+ years’ experience in the OT / IT software industry with focus on digitalization and the Internet of Things, and deep understanding of relevant technologies and trends Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related technical field. OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration or technical field would be an advantage Proven track record in customer focus, exposure to top customer management, consultative selling, driving results and turning opportunities into sales successes Proven experience in driving digital development for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment(Process, Energy, software, technology, automation) Background in cloud and edge technologies, digital twins, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine earning as applied to Process Performance solutions & its KPI Ability to deliver complex deliverables under demanding timelines. Be flexible with changes and keep the customer focused and stay within the scope of the engagement. Deep Experience in the industrial software environment; Division-specific industry exposure (industrial automation/advanced software/…) preferred experience and strong domain background in pulp and paper industry while having working knowledge of other process industries – Mining, Metals, Cement, Food and Beverage.
