Job Description

Swiss Re is one of the world s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance, and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer. We combine experience with innovation to build solutions that make the world more resilient. At Swiss Re, you will find a flexible, multicultural, and inclusive working environment where people are encouraged to learn, grow, and contribute.

About the Role

As a Senior Third Party Cyber Risk Advisor, you will play a key leadership role in Swiss Re s global Third Party Cyber Risk Management (TPCRM) service. You will oversee the design, governance, and execution of the TPCRM framework, ensuring that Swiss Re effectively manages third-party cyber risks across its global footprint, including our growing presence in India.

You will act as a senior subject matter expert and trusted advisor, engaging with business leaders, procurement, legal, regulators, and third parties. You will provide direction on complex third-party risk matters, help shape regulatory compliance (e.g., DORA, FINMA, OSFI), and align Swiss Re s practices with industry standards.

You will

  • Act as a senior point of contact and advisor on complex third-party cyber risk matters for global and regional stakeholders.

  • Assess and monitor the risk of critical third-parties, negotiate security and contractual requirements, and ensure robust remediation plans.

  • Lead the implementation of strategic enhancements and the governance of Swiss Re s TPCRM framework, standards, and policies.

  • Drive the integration of TPCRM into enterprise-wide risk management and regulatory compliance processes.

  • Represent TPCRM in audits, regulatory reviews, and senior management reporting.

  • Provide risk insights, risk scorecards, dashboards, and assurance reports tailored for executive stakeholders.

  • Mentor and coach junior colleagues, strengthening expertise and fostering a culture of resilience and accountability.

  • Contribute to external regulatory discussions and cross-industry forums on third-party risk management.

About the Team

You will join Security Services under the Chief Security Officer (CSO) organization. Our mission is to keep Swiss Re s cyber and resilience risks within agreed tolerance levels while enabling the business. The TPCRM team operates globally, with colleagues in India, Europe, and other regions, working in a diverse and collaborative culture that values knowledge-sharing and professional growth.

About You

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Third Party (Cyber) Risk Management, cyber risk, outsourcing/vendor risk, or related fields (e.g., IT/security audit, IT governance, consultancy).

  • Proven expertise in applying security standards and frameworks (ISO 27000 series, NIST SP 800-53, SOC2/ISAE 3000, FAIR, ISO 31000).

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting third-party risk management (e.g., DORA, FINMA, OSFI, GDPR); awareness of region-specific requirements is a plus.

  • Demonstrated experience in project and program management, with ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver complex change.

  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders and aligning third-party risk priorities with business objectives.

  • Excellent communication skills; able to translate technical risk into business context for senior management.

  • Strong experience negotiating contractual obligations related to cyber security and resilience.

  • Strategic mindset, proactive approach, and ability to balance governance with pragmatic solutions.

  • University degree in Information Security, IT, Law, Business, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as CTPRP, CISA, CRISC, CISM or CISSP are a strong advantage.

  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
