Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt. Ltd. (HWT) is a 100% subsidiary of SFC Environmental Technologies Ltd., engaged in technology, process design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, project execution, and operations & maintenance of integrated municipal solid waste (MSW) treatment plants. HWT has two operating reference plants, with multiple projects under execution across India.

Role Definition :

The Senior Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) will be responsible for basic and detailed civil/structural engineering design for municipal solid waste, water, and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring safe, economical, and code-compliant designs aligned with project requirements.

Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in civil/structural design for Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Municipal Solid Waste projects, Power Plants, or Petrochemical/Industrial projects.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• M.E. / M.Tech in Structural Engineering (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare basic and detailed structural designs and GADs for RCC structures, steel structures, PEB sheds, tanks, foundations, roads, drains, and pipe racks.
• Perform structural analysis and modelling using STAAD. Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Design foundations using geotechnical inputs including shallow foundations and pile foundations.
• Ensure all designs comply with IS codes, international standards, and contractual specifications.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and optimize BOQs through value engineering.
• Develop and maintain civil MDL and monitor progress of design deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for integrated project execution.
• Review contractor and consultant design submissions for compliance and structural adequacy.
• Prepare RFQs and technically evaluate vendor drawings and documents.
• Obtain design and drawing approvals from clients and consultants.
• Support site teams by resolving design queries and ensuring construction alignment with drawings.
• Contribute to standardization, design checklists, and continuous improvement initiatives.
