Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our Shared Services IT team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain data management systems, ensuring security, compliance, and optimal performance. This position is critical for an upcoming Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation and ongoing operations. Location : Gurgaon, India Employment Type : Full-time Shift Timings (IST): 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM Key Responsibilities Database Administration (70%): Maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot databases, ensuring high availability and performance. Manage incidents, problems, and query tuning. Archiving & Storage (20%): Design backup, archiving, and storage strategies. Install upgrades and patches. People Management (10%): Oversee junior DBAs, provide training, and manage workload balance. Key Skills & Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Technology, MCA, BCA, or related field. Experience: 8+ years as a Database Administrator(SQL), with expertise in: Database standards, backup/recovery, and security. SQL query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning. Familiarity with database design, documentation, and third-party tools. Problem-solving skills and algorithmic thinking.
