The Senior Data Scientist at Danaher Enterprise AI team, supporting various initiatives and advancing business objectives through rigorous data analysis, model development, and decision enablement for scientific, technical, or operational functions. This role is based in India, Bangalore working onsite and will report through the aligned business and organizational structure.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of AI/ML models tailored to Service and support initiatives (Example: Ticket Triage, Intelligent routing, Predictive maintenance, resource planning, customer interaction analysis etc.,)
- Develop and deploy generative AI models and ML models for service and support use cases, fine-tuning large pre-trained LLMs, evaluating modeling performance; continuously iterating and optimizing the solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Data Engineering, Product, IT, Service Ops, business functions) to operationalize AI models using scalable MLOps pipelines
- Partners with solution architect engineers to enable appropriate data flow/data model, development using appropriate tools/technology to ensure rapid prototyping, testing and deployment
- Ensure models are robust, scalable, and production ready with clear monitoring and feedback loops. Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data in accordance with company policies and data protection requirements
The essential requirements of the job include:
- PhD or master s degree in computer science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in applied AI/ML roles, Data Science with at least 5 years focused on developing models and algorithms
- Strong expertise in optimization, regression, classification, time series, deep learning, GenAI, Agentic AI.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala or similar and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).
- Strong experience with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Vertex AI, AWS Sagemaker, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.Strong hands-on knowledge in developing/implementing models and Machine Learning models to customer service, technical support, or operations use case.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms such as AWS, Snowflake etc.Knowledge of vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate) and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) frameworks
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Experience building and deploying equipment failure prediction models at scale
- Knowledge of working on Enterprise-wide AI applications and deployment.
- Experience with AI agent solution development. Familiarity working with MedTech, Diagnostic and life science domain is preferred.
