Senior Data Engineer(3+ Years)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our analytics team and help scale our data infrastructure that handles petabytes of information daily. You'll play a crucial role in building faster, more reliable tools and platforms that enable low-latency, horizontally scalable data solutions for our growing user base.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development

  : Design and develop real-time events pipelines for data ingestion supporting real-time dashboarding and analytics

• Platform Innovation

  : Brainstorm and create new platforms that deliver data to users in various formats with low latency and horizontal scalability

• Data Transformation

  : Develop complex and efficient functions to transform raw data sources into powerful, reliable components of our data lake

• System Optimization

  : Make changes across the entire technical stack and diagnose problems to ensure optimal performance

• Technology Implementation

  : Design & implement new components using various emerging technologies in the Hadoop ecosystem

• Project Execution

  : Successfully execute various data engineering projects from conception to completion

Required Qualifications

• Experience

  : 3+ years of strong hands-on experience with Spark (preferably PySpark)

• Programming Skills

  : Proficiency in Python and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)

• Database Knowledge

  : Good exposure to SQL, MongoDB, and other database technologies

• Cloud Technologies

  : Experience with AWS and cloud platforms such as S3

• Real-time Systems

  : Experience in building real-time data pipelines and scalable systems

• Industry Background

  : SaaS or high-growth startup experience preferred

• Availability

  : Immediate joiners preferred

Technical Environment

• Work with petabyte-scale data processing systems
• Hadoop ecosystem and emerging big data technologies
• Cloud-native architecture with AWS services
