Job Description

Job Role - Vertica DBA Location - Mumbai / Hyderabad Experience - 3 to 5 yrs Responsibilities Understanding of Vertica architecture install configure manage Vertica system and managing Vertica backup and recovery and restore Experience in handling Vertica cluster Installation integration and configuration of DB on Linux machines Writing and using Shell scripts and SQL for automating regular task Responsible for all DB technical support aspects required by the clients Excellent customer interaction interface with the ability to respond to customer calls independently Identify diagnose and resolve issues related to the DB with good troubleshooting and root cause findings May also responsible for Monitoring and working on HP Ezmeral data fabric formerly MapR Hadoop Python and jupyter notebooks Requirements 24 years experience with Vertica Database as a DBA in a Linux environment Minimum 2 years into Vertica DBA 247 support is Mandatory Experience in DB Tuning and performance is required Scripting capability in Shell SQL is required Hadoop administration would be an added advantage Skills Mandatory Skills : Vertica,ANSI-SQL,Dimensional Data Modeling Show more Show less
