Data Engineer

You’ll be working on an innovative platform that simplifies how users compare and purchase insurance — empowering smarter, data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain

  data pipelines

  and

  ETL workflows

  using

  Airflow (on Kubernetes)

  ,

  DBT

  , and

  Airbyte

  .
• Manage and optimize

  BigQuery

  datasets for performance and cost efficiency.
• Implement and maintain

  Cloud Functions

  ,

  Terraform

  , and

  Python/pandas

  scripts for automation and data processing.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across systems.
• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data products.
• Monitor and resolve pipeline or system incidents via

  PagerDuty

  .
• Integrate data from multiple APIs and SaaS platforms into GCP.
• Contribute to the overall data architecture and help evolve best practices in data engineering.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5–6 years of experience as a

  Data Engineer

  in cloud-based environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with

  GCP

  ,

  BigQuery

  , and

  Cloud Functions

  .
• Proven expertise in

  Airflow

  (preferably running on

  Kubernetes

  ) and

  DBT

  .
• Experience using

  Airbyte

  for data ingestion and

  Terraform

  for infrastructure automation.
• Strong programming skills in

  Python

  (with pandas for data manipulation).
• Deep understanding of

  SQL

  and query optimization techniques.
• Experience with

  incident management tools

  such as

  PagerDuty

  .
• Solid understanding of

  data architecture, ETL design patterns, and automation

  .
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with

  data governance and compliance

  in financial/insurance domains.
• Exposure to

  CI/CD pipelines

  for data workflows.
• Experience integrating data from APIs or external SaaS systems.
• Knowledge of

  Looker, Power BI, or Tableau

  for reporting layers.
