Senior Cobol Developer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the implementation of a Trade Finance product at customer sites. Your role will involve programming, supporting new implementations, post-implementation activities such as software installations, environment creation and maintenance, production support, problem analysis & solutions, and daily interaction with the back-office technical team and clients" technical teams. Key Responsibilities: - Analyse existing code and provide a clear summary of current state functionality - Work within the project team to support ongoing testing and deployment activities - Develop solution options, code, and test - Act as an escalation point for the production support team, providing minor fixes and enhancements Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience as a COBOL developer - Knowledge in Trade Finance or IMEX is a must - Proficiency in SQL (DB2/Oracle/Linux) - Experience in production support, enhancement, and strong incident-solving capabilities - Ability to write Technical Solution Documents (TSD) as per client requirements - Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of other languages is advantageous - Strong customer orientation, decision-making skills, and an analytical, structured, and solution-oriented approach - Ideally, insights into banking processes or a keen interest in combining IT and Finance - Experience in client-facing roles and providing onsite/offsite support Additional Details: No additional details were provided in the job description.,
